With effect from today, Molly Weaver will transfer teams to Liv-Plantur. Following her move to the Matrix Fitness program for 2015, Molly has consistently shown her ability in the worlds leading races. “We can’t disguise our disappointment to lose Molly from our squad, but we are also immensely proud to have offered Molly the platform to gain a place in a top 10 team.” Commented team manager Stefan Wyman
Molly’s season began at Omloop het Nieuwsblad with a fantastic performance and 30th place. From there she moved towards her stand out result of 8th in Cholet Pays de Loire. The next major challenges were her first two World Cup events where she was the leading rider of the team in both Tour of Flanders and Fleche Wallonne. At every level Molly has risen to the challenge.
“I can’t thank the staff and riders at Matrix Pro Cycling enough for everything they’ve done for me this season and for giving me their complete support in taking this next step in my career. Although I’m moving on, I hope to see the team continue to grow and build on the platform that Stefan Wyman has worked so hard to create.” Commented Molly Weaver
“When a team is new or small like ours, you always face these potential issues, and it’s obvious we will miss Molly on and off the bike. She’s been a great ambassador for our team and our most consistent performer so far during this season. Now we have a small rebuilding job to do as we look towards a stronger future, hopefully with an increased sponsorship base, so we can put ourselves in the top 10 and hold onto our biggest talents.” Continued Wyman
“Molly is proof that hard work and dedication pay off. We are sure she’s put herself in the selectors mind for the World Championships and hopefully the Olympic Games. We’ll certainly be very proud seeing her there. First up though she has the Giro to look forward to with her new team. Everyone at the team wishes Molly all the best.”
