Matrix Fitness Pro Cycling is delighted to confirm the signing of Kimberley le Court from Mauritius to the team. She joins with immediate effect and now forms part of the squad for the upcoming Aviva Women’s Tour. As a British national, Kim was on the teams’ radar as her performances in high profile events in South Africa have really shone out. “When a final recommendation came from a friend of the team in SA, we had to make the move and see what Kim can do in Europe. She’s a very dynamic rider and has already fitted in well with the other riders since her arrival in Europe last week.” Said Team Manager Stef Wyman

Kim spoke to Cycling Direct in South Africa and said the following, “It was my plan this year to come to Europe and gain valuable experience.  Steven Sergeant was instrumental in helping me to make contact with teams for guest rides and out of the blue, based upon my successes in South Africa, Matrix Pro Cycling from the UK came up with this incredible opportunity.   It will be such a thrill to ride alongside the likes of Lucy Martin and Laura Trott just to name a couple of the team riders. I feel so privileged. A little girl’s big dream is very close to becoming a reality and I will not disappoint those who have given me this chance.”

“Giving new riders opportunities is definitely one of the most rewarding parts of running a team. It’s exciting to see them d  evelop and hopefully thrive in the European peloton. It’s an extremely busy time at the team right now as we plan for years two and three in the professional ranks. We are looking to add an experienced rider to the roster in the coming weeks, and hopefully can progress sponsorship discussions in our quest to add a co-title sponsor to help us move towards a stronger position in the women’s team rankings.” Continued Wyman.
Kimberley will now ride in some preparation events in Belgium and Holland, before riding the Diamond Tour as a final preparation race for the Aviva Women’s Tour. She will be joining Laura Trott, Elinor Barker and Lucy Martin along with two other riders for the Aviva Women’s Tour.
