“The transition to a profession team brings with it greater demands on both the riders and supplements. Our season will be longer, the races harder, and the training and camps will be more intense. Our partnership with USN will give us an opportunity to make this jump as smoothly as possible” commented team manager, Stefan Wyman.
“We are in the process of rolling out our Sports Science Strategy, which we hope will be one of the key factors in our pathway to the top of the sport over the coming years. We’re working with some experts in each catergory to ensure our riders have the best possible opportunity to succeed. We see USN as central to this strategy and as such hope we have a long term relationship with them.”
Jason Oakley, Managing director of USN UK said “We are delighted to join the Matrix Fitness team as they move up to the Professional ranks in 2015. We will be working closely with the riders, staff and team management to ensure each individual receives the best nutritional preparation to perform at the highest level and ensure optimal recovery”
The Matrix Fitness team will start their season in March in Belgium before a short training camp in France and some more racing there ahead of Gent-Wevelgem. With the core of the road squad having already completed one training camp, with another longer camp in place for January, all the signs are looking good for 2015. “Everything is going well so far and we are spending the winter months identifying areas of potential progress and seeking partners to help each of those areas. We know we USN are a great match for us” concluded, Wyman.
